How We Work

This site is run by the Center for Freedom and Justice in order to connect the women’s embroidery co-op with the international market.  In a time of increasing economic crisis in Palestine it is crucial that we garner international support for small economic self-sufficiency projects such as this one.

The work we now carry is from the women’s co-operative in Beit Ommar, providing supplemental income to nearly 250 members of the extended families of the women who make the crafts by hand.

A Note to Retailers:

We are hoping to establish some commercial accounts abroad.   We are especially interested in working with other cooperatives, fair trade organizations, and organizations that support our goal of creating sustainable jobs for women in Palestine.  The women can usually make specific products upon request with adequate notice.  If you are a retailer and you are interested in carrying any of these products, please let us know how we can meet your needs.
